School year 2011-2012
Dear Families
Welcome to Noah´s Ark. We are delighted to have you on board in this new journey, full of adventures, discoveries and tons of learning and growing.
In order to ease the start of the new school year, please take note of the following information:
- The classes start on Tuesday, September 6th.
- For all children starting for first time at Noah´s Ark, the first week will be half day: hence from Sept 6th to the 9th, children will attend from 9 to 12. The teachers may suggest your child to stay longer periods regarding is adaptation process. (Please keep in mind that every child is unique and we have to respect his/her own timing).
- For children who are already acquainted with the school they can attend the full time (from 9 to 17) from the first day. Even though we suggest them to come part time (from 9 to 12)
- All children shall stay accompanied by an adult, best a parent, during the adaptation process. Companion adults should have a ¨passive¨ presence, supportive and confident, allowing opportunities for freely exploring and being respectful with the interests and needs of each child.
Since each child has this/her own adaptation process we ask parents to stay open and listened to that process and the teachers advises.
Warm Regards
Noah´€™s Ark team

She notices Jimmy, walks over to him, and tries to take the toy phone away. Jimmy screams and pulls Rachel´s hair. Rachel begins to cry.more...
The process of adaptation
What can parents do to help their children adapt to the child care center?
There is no magic formula to enable your child to adapt immediately. It is an individual process in which each child will establish his/her own rhythm given their own needs and previous experience. more...
