As educators with international experience and training, we recognize the need for a childcare center that reflects the priorities of a global society. Like the animals in the Noah story, our children long to be connected to others, even others who may initially appear to be very different from them. When you enter the doors of Noah’s Ark you’ll find a unique international daycare center, one whose program is based on professional teaching methods, cultural diversity, and a love of children.

Situated in a beautiful house in La Miranda, an exclusive and conveniently located residential community in Barcelona, our center features quiet, bright, roomy spaces perfectly suited to the care and stimulation of small children. Our site offers the following amenities:

• 4 spacious classrooms
• a multipurpose room for psychomotor and multimedia activities
• a lunchroom featuring homemade food
• 600m² outdoor space with open play areas, playground equipment, childrens car circuit, sandbox, and plant nursery/vegetable laboratory

It is hard to imagine a child succeeding in tomorrow’s world without knowing multiple languages, which is why we offer our program in English as well as in Spanish and Catalan. We believe that exposing children to English through games, activities, music, and daily routines gives them a chance to learn the language naturally in a fun and caring environment. At Noah’s Ark, our international families and educators live and breathe cultural diversity, modeling these values for the children, helping to educate future world citizens.

At Noah´s Ark we believe that every child has an innate desire to explore and learn, so we use this natural curiosity as a starting point for our teaching. We educate children using the “active methodology” model, an integrated approach that enables children to develop emotional, physical, and intellectual autonomy. Just as Noah realized that the tiny opossum needed a little extra nurturing, our educators are trained to respect the natural rhythms of each child, while also encouraging the children to participate in daily routines and develop positive habits.

The success of Noah´s Ark in part depends on the relationship between the families and the center. We believe that direct communication with families is an important part of the education process and enhances our ability to give each child personalized attention. In addition, we are proud to offer a CYBER CONTACT service through which parents can observe and enjoy their childs learning in real time over the internet.
