PSYCHOMOTRICITY

At Noah’s Ark, our psychomotricity room, known as “the Gym,” is a space where each child has the freedom to explore and play with the materials available to them. This approach supports their holistic development, allowing them to discover their bodies, express their emotions, and interact with others in an environment of play and freedom. Movement is fundamental in building identity and thought during the early years of life.

Through activities such as rolling, jumping, climbing, and balancing, children investigate their bodies and surroundings, which is key to integrating their body schemas and improving their motor coordination.

We understand that young children often express their emotions and feelings through their bodies before mastering verbal language. In our Gym, we provide a space where they can release and channel those emotions constructively.

We promote social interaction among children and the connection with adults, who act as facilitators in the development process, offering emotional support and security. Without exerting excessive control, we allow children to explore and express themselves at their own pace in a prepared and safe environment, which reinforces their self-confidence and independence.
